Water Softeners & Treatment

We install water filtration and treatment systems, including water softeners, for homes in the Cincinnati area.

Hard water leaves scale on faucets and showerheads, spots on dishes and buildup inside pipes and water heaters. Some homes also deal with taste or odor they would like to improve. The right system depends on what is in your water and what you want to fix. We install water filtration and water treatment systems, including water softeners. We look at your plumbing, discuss what you are trying to improve, and plan where the equipment will go and how it connects to your lines. A softener also needs a drain connection and, usually, a bypass so you can isolate it for service, and we set those up the right way. Because this is plumbing work, it should be done to code, and ours is. Once the system is in, we walk you through how it works and what upkeep it needs. To talk about a system for your home, call us or request a quote.

Common questions

How do I know if I have hard water?

White scale around faucets, spotty dishes, and soap that does not lather well are common signs. A water test will confirm the hardness level.

Does a water softener need a drain?

Yes. A softener flushes itself and needs a drain connection for that water. We plan the drain and the plumbing connections when we install it.

Can a softener be installed in an existing home?

Usually yes. We look at where your main line enters the house and where there is room for the equipment, then plan the connections from there.
